The best security solution for pet owners

Are you a dog lover or a cat person?

Either way, you probably understand the importance of keeping your home, contents and family safe from the risk of burglars, vandals and other criminals.

However if you have a furry friend running around the house then you might have delayed installing a new security system for fears that the movements of Spot or Fluffy might trigger false alarms.

This is a common concern for pet owners and one which, in the past, was quite justified. No one wants to be woken in the middle of the night by your alarm only to find that it was the family cat which had triggered the sensors rather than an intruder.

Luckily there are now products available which are specifically designed to cater to pet owners and ensure that the likeliness of false alarms is significantly reduced.

Bosch Blue Line Pet Friendly TriTech Detectors offer pet immunity for animals up to 45kg, ensuring that they will only generate alarms for human intruders.

Small and unobtrusive, TriTech detectors look great in all homes and also offer microwave noise adaptive processing in order to reduce the likelihood of false alarms caused by repetitive sources.

These sensors are great even if you don't own a pet as well, as they are perfect for installing outdoors where a neighbourhood cat or perhaps even a rodent could potentially trigger a false alarm.

And because Bosch security systems are some of the best alarms available, you can install these sensors with the peace of mind that your new solution will offer utmost reliability and dependability.

With innovative technology such as this, there is no excuse not to properly ensure the safety and security of your home and property.

After all, we wouldn't want any of Fido's chew toys getting stolen would we.

Do Wireless Alarms Need Wi-Fi?

Wireless alarm systems will not require Wi-Fi , at least not to communicate with its wireless components. The only time a wireless alarm would need Wi-Fi  is if it reports back to an app on a customer’s smartphone, to alert them of an intrusion or to allow them to arm and disarm the system remotely. For the system to properly talk with its wireless components , it would require a receiver. In some instances this receiver can be built into the main control panel, but more often than not it is a separate device that must be wired in.  This receiver uses RF frequencies to communicate with each wireless device, which will have a wireless transmitter inside.  These wireless devices have the same function as their hard wired options, for example a wireless detector is able to detect movement the same way a wired detector will.  The difference is how it transmits this signal back to the panel.  The hard wired detector creates an open circuit when it detects movement, tripping the alarm ins
